These ice caverns were my favorite asset I made for the Legend Adventure game project. I made them very quickly using a tiling displacement image that wrapped from the scoops in the roof, down the cave walls and to the floor, and back up, then used that to generate the mesh in Max, which gave me a
seamlessly tiling mesh that I could stack end to end as long as I needed. I also used the displacement image as the start for the self illumination
other textures. Then I path deformed my ice cave tube into the shape I wanted.
I looked at countless glacier and ice tunnel reference photos, and tried to
get the most realistic and impressive cave I could. Unfortunately, the
