This is my starting block of Figured Asian Satinwood. The grain
really shines through the
protective wax coat.

Concept art for the new clock. This design uses a new shape, and the
aluminum bezels
from the previous clocks. After I got the block from WoodCraft, I scanned in
each side, and used the images to map to my model in 3dsMax9.

Sanded all the shipping wax off the block, and then cut the curves.
This is a sanity check for how the
parts I plan on using will lay out across the clock face, to make sure I
haven't overlooked
any spacing issues.

While I am waiting till I can find the right table edge bit for my router
to make the main curve of the
clock face, I have assembled the clock driver board.
